Lattice vs 15Five vs Culture Amp: Price, Features and Fit

Lattice vs 15Five vs Culture Amp compared on published price, features and integrations, plus what Gallup says employees dislike about reviews.

No public data ranks these three tools by how much employees dislike them, so the honest answer is that nobody can say. What can be checked is price and scope. As of 13 October 2026, Lattice lists Performance at $10 per seat per month, 15Five lists Perform at $11 per user per month, and Culture Amp publishes no price.

Employees mostly dislike the review, not the software. So the useful question is which tool makes it easier for managers to do what employees say they want.

Why do employees dislike performance reviews in the first place?

Because most reviews do not feel useful, fair or accurate. In Gallup's 2017 analysis, only 14% of employees strongly agreed that their reviews inspire them to improve. Only 29% strongly agreed the reviews are fair and 26% strongly agreed they are accurate.

Frequency was part of the picture. Gallup reported that 48% of employees were reviewed annually and 26% less than once a year. Gallup recommended progress reviews at least every six months. The page does not state a sample size or field dates, and the data is from 2017, so treat it as directional.

What do employees actually want from a manager?

Frequent, meaningful feedback. In a Gallup study published on 27 May 2024, the lowest-rated manager behavior was meaningful feedback in the last week. Gallup also called weekly meaningful feedback the strongest driver of engagement.

The perception gap is large. Only 20% of employees said they receive feedback weekly, while about 50% of managers said they deliver it weekly. The study used the Gallup Panel, fielded 9 to 24 August 2023, with 2,729 managers and 12,710 individual contributors.

That points to a practical test: a tool earns its seat if it makes weekly check-ins and feedback routine, and does not just run a better annual form.

How do Lattice, 15Five and Culture Amp compare on price?

Lattice and 15Five publish list prices. Culture Amp quotes by employee count, product and service tier. All three bill annually.

What would 100 employees cost?

At list price, the review tools alone cost between roughly $12,000 and $21,600 a year for 100 seats. This is simple arithmetic on the published rates, before add-ons and before any negotiated discount.

Scenario (100 seats, 12 months)Annual list cost
Lattice Performance at $10$12,000
Lattice Performance plus Goals & OKRs ($18 combined)$21,600
15Five Perform at $11$13,200
15Five Total Platform at $16$19,200

Add-ons change the total. 15Five lists Kona Notetaker at $2 per employee per month, Kona Coach at $19 per manager per month, and Compensation at $9 per user per month. Lattice lists Compensation at +$6 and Grow at +$4 per seat per month. Lattice's $4,000 minimum equals about 33 seats at $10.

What does each tool include for reviews, feedback and 1:1s?

All three cover reviews and regular check-ins, with different packaging. Here is what each vendor says about its own product.

  • Lattice. Performance includes Performance Reviews, Succession Planning, Promotions, PIPs, Talent Reviews and Calibration. 1:1s, Weekly Updates, Feedback and Q&A Boards come with each base product, as do analytics and an AI agent.
  • 15Five. Perform includes AI-Assisted Performance Reviews, 360 Feedback, Talent Matrix, OKRs & Goals, Career Paths & Plans and 15Five Agents. The help center adds calibrations and a Meeting Assistant inside the Agents Hub.
  • Culture Amp. Its pricing page lists AI Coach, 1-on-1 templates and Shoutouts in every plan, alongside SSO and encryption, plus Engage and Perform as the two products.

Weekly feedback is the behavior Gallup flagged. Lattice includes Weekly Updates and 1:1s, 15Five's Meeting Assistant targets check-ins, and Culture Amp includes 1-on-1 templates and Shoutouts. None of these vendors has published evidence that its tool lifts employee satisfaction with reviews, so these are feature claims, not outcomes.

Which tool connects to the systems you already use?

All three list Slack and Microsoft Teams, and all three list HRIS connections. Lattice and 15Five publish named lists. Culture Amp does not name vendors on its index page.

Which should you pick by company size?

Match the tool to your budget certainty and your manager habits. Based on published information only:

  1. Under 50 people, fixed budget: Lattice or 15Five. You can price either before a sales call. Watch Lattice's $4,000 minimum.
  2. 50 to 200 people, wants surveys and reviews together: price 15Five Total Platform ($16) against a Lattice Performance plus Engagement build ($14 at list), and request a Culture Amp quote. Culture Amp's support tier for under 200 employees is group Customer Success and chat and email support; 200 to 999 employees add a one-on-one Customer Success partnership.
  3. 1,000+ employees: Culture Amp lists an enterprise tier with manager and executive training and a People Scientist results call. Lattice's pricing page offers a custom package and a quote request through sales.

Run a pilot with ten managers for one review cycle. Ask them one question: did you have more useful conversations with your team?

What's still unclear?

The central question is unanswered: no employee-side comparison of these three tools is cited here, so this post does not rank them on employee sentiment.

Other gaps:

  • Lattice's own page conflicts. The pricing grid shows Performance at $10, while the FAQ says Performance and Goals & OKRs can be bought individually for $8. Confirm in writing.
  • Culture Amp pricing. No list price exists on its site, so any figure from third-party sites is an estimate.
  • Gallup's age. The 14% figure dates from 2017 and the page gives no methodology. The 2024 manager study is more recent but concerns managers generally, not these products.
  • Features are vendor claims. None of the vendors publishes data showing employees like its reviews more than a competitor's.

Frequently asked questions

Which is cheapest, Lattice, 15Five or Culture Amp?

Only Lattice and 15Five publish prices. As of 13 October 2026, Lattice lists Performance at $10 per seat per month and 15Five lists Perform at $11 per user per month, both billed annually. Culture Amp does not publish prices and quotes by employee count, product and service tier, so a fair comparison needs a written quote.

Does any of the three have a free plan?

None of the three pricing pages mentions a free plan or free trial as of 13 October 2026. Lattice offers a product tour and a demo. 15Five and Culture Amp direct buyers to book a demo or request a quote. Ask each vendor about a pilot or trial before you sign an annual contract.

Is there a minimum contract size?

Lattice states a minimum annual agreement of $4,000, which is about 33 seats at its listed $10 Performance price. 15Five says standard packages are flexible but some optional add-ons may carry minimums. Culture Amp's pricing page mentions no minimum spend but says all products are billed annually.

What do employees dislike most about performance reviews?

In Gallup research published in 2017, only 14% of employees strongly agreed that their reviews inspire them to improve, 29% strongly agreed they are fair and 26% strongly agreed they are accurate. Gallup's 2024 manager research found meaningful feedback in the last week was the lowest-rated manager behavior.

Do these tools connect to Slack, Teams and my HRIS?

Yes, all three list Slack and Microsoft Teams integrations. Lattice and 15Five publish named HRIS lists that include ADP, BambooHR, Rippling and Workday. Culture Amp's support site documents HRIS, SFTP and API syncs but does not name vendors on its integrations index page, so confirm yours with sales.

Which tool fits a company under 100 people?

On published price and scope, Lattice and 15Five are the easier fit because you can budget before talking to sales. Culture Amp's support tiers start below 200 employees, but you need a quote. Pick the tool whose review and 1:1 workflow your managers will actually use weekly, not the one with the longest feature list.
